Creating a New Site

To create a new site, click the toolbutton shown to the left to open the new site dialog. You will have two options for creating a new site:

Create the site from an existing directory structure

Browse your directories to choose the root directory of the structure (TopStyle will give the site the same name, but you may change this). After you have chosen the root directory, clicking the Exclusion button will allow you to exclude selected subdirectories from the project.

Import a HomeSite Project

If you use Allaire HomeSite (or Cold Fusion Studio) as your HTML editor, you can import projects directly by browsing to find the project file. Project files are located in the root directory of the project directory structure.

In either case, TopStyle will locate all existing links to style sheets or embedded style sheets. The options at the bottom constrain the search for style sheet links. You to prevent TopStyle from searching inside script tags (<script>..</script>, ASP tags: <%..%> and PHP tags: <?..?>) and HTML comments.

Important: When building a site, TopStyle will only include files that match the HTML Document Extensions shown on the General page in TopStyle's options.
